FreeGen
FreeGen is a free browser-based AI toolkit for people who want useful generative AI without accounts, uploads, subscriptions, or per-token billing. It runs models locally through WebGPU so prompts, audio, and images stay on the user's own computer. The current toolset includes local chat, audio transcription, text-to-speech, image question answering and object detection, click-to-remove image editing, 2x upscaling, depth-map generation, photo-to-3D model conversion, and local image generation with browser-cached model weights. It is useful for privacy-minded creators, students, developers, and anyone testing local AI on a desktop or laptop with a WebGPU-capable browser.
