1. About this website
PublishYourSaaS is an independently operated personal website, not a company or incorporated organization. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the individual website owner operating PublishYourSaaS.
2. Information we collect
Google and GitHub account information
When you continue with Google or GitHub, we request profile and email information needed to authenticate your account. We may store your name, email address, provider account identifier, and profile information the selected provider returns. We never receive or store your Google or GitHub password.
Content, manual submissions, and account activity
We store listings, URLs, screenshots, descriptions, articles, keywords, features, use cases, badge-verification status, and other content you submit, together with account and listing timestamps. If you submit without an account, we also store your contact email, requested plan, contact consent, payment and review status, review notes, and submission timestamps. For both account-based and account-free manual submissions, we also store your responses to required content-policy and terms-and-privacy confirmations, the submission or account associated with those responses, and relevant timestamps.
Public maker profiles
If you choose to publish a maker profile, we store and publicly display the username, display name, profile photo you upload or receive from an authentication provider, bio, website, GitHub, X, and LinkedIn links you provide. The profile also displays your active products, whether they were created through your account or claimed, launch and relaunch history, earned badges, and related timestamps. Maker profiles are private unless you enable public visibility.
Website claim and verification information
When you claim an admin-created listing, we store the website and listing involved, your authenticated account, the generated DNS TXT verification token, challenge status and expiration, verification attempt count, check timestamps, and verification result. The TXT token becomes publicly visible in DNS when you publish it and may remain visible until you remove it through your DNS provider.
Product comments, reactions, and notifications
When you participate in product discussions, we store your question, feedback, owner reply, Useful reactions, the associated account and listing, moderation status, and relevant timestamps. We also create private in-app notifications for product owners when new feedback is posted and for commenters when an owner replies.
Purchases and technical information
We store plan, amount, currency, order status, and Whop checkout/payment identifiers. Whop handles payment details; we do not store full card numbers. Servers and service providers may also receive IP addresses, browser information, request logs, and essential cookie identifiers.
Monthly digest subscriptions
When you submit a listing on the Free plan, you opt in to receive our monthly digest at the email address associated with your account or submission. We may store your subscription status and related delivery and opt-out information.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate users and maintain secure sessions.
- Create, display, rank, manage, and promote submitted listings and articles.
- Publish maker profiles, product portfolios, launch histories, and earned badges when enabled by the account owner.
- Operate product discussions, reactions, moderation, and in-app feedback notifications.
- Process and review paid account-free submissions and contact submitters about payment or review decisions.
- Send the monthly digest to people who opt in by submitting a Free listing and manage newsletter subscriptions and opt-outs.
- Review submissions, enforce our content rules, document consent, and resolve complaints or disputes.
- Process plan upgrades, confirm payments, and maintain transaction history.
- Verify domain control and badges, resolve listing claims, prevent misuse, and protect the service.
- Respond to support, legal, privacy, and copyright requests.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and improve PublishYourSaaS.
4. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our agreement with you, pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, comply with law, and obtain consent where required. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing.
5. How information is shared
We may share information with:
- Google or GitHub, to complete the authentication flow you request.
- Public DNS resolver services, to look up the TXT record for a claimed domain.
- Whop, to create checkout sessions and confirm payment events.
- Email delivery or campaign providers when we contact a submitter about a review or requested plan or send the monthly digest.
- Hosting, infrastructure, security, and professional service providers working for us.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law or needed to protect rights and safety.
- A future website owner if PublishYourSaaS is transferred, subject to applicable law and appropriate notice.
Listings, published articles, enabled maker profiles, and visible product comments and replies are public and may be indexed, cached, copied, or shared by search engines and other visitors. Links on a maker profile direct visitors to third-party sites. If your maker profile is private, public comments identify you generically as a community member.
6. Third-party authentication storage
PublishYourSaaS uses a server-side Django session. Your browser receives an opaque session identifier while the corresponding login state remains in our database. The application uses Google or GitHub access to complete the authentication request and is configured not to persist provider access or refresh tokens. It also does not store authentication data in localStorage or sessionStorage.

7. Retention and security
We retain account, manual-submission, listing, confirmation, website-claim, verification, product-feedback, reaction, notification, article, transaction, security, and legal records for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, to provide the service, enforce our content rules, preserve evidence of consent, prevent repeated abuse, resolve disputes, and satisfy applicable obligations. Confirmation records may be retained after a submission is rejected or a listing is removed when reasonably necessary for those purposes. Public content, DNS records, or search-engine caches may remain after removal from PublishYourSaaS.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to complain to a regulator. We may verify your identity before acting. Contact publishyoursaas@gmail.com.
You can edit your maker profile or turn off its public visibility from the dashboard. Search engines and other third parties may retain cached copies after you make a profile private.
You can unsubscribe from the monthly digest at any time using the unsubscribe link in a digest email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing does not affect your listing or its review.
9. International use, children, and changes
Information may be processed where we or our providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards. PublishYourSaaS is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this policy and will revise the date above.
