The service is dramatically cheaper than AWS ElastiCache, Azure Cache, and GCP Memorystore because it leverages bare-metal infrastructure and long-term capacity commitments rather than retail cloud prices. A free tier offers 100MB at no cost and requires no credit card to sign up, giving four times the memory of comparable free tiers from competitors.
It offers a dashboard with core cache metrics (hit rate, memory usage, item count, connections, evictions...), as well as details such as per-slab breakdowns, time-series charts for memory usage, hit rate, item count, evictions and cache latency metrics. Additionally, it provides information about top keys and prefixes analysis for caching strategy insights, and can alert you by email when core metrics fall outside configured thresholds.
